New York, 2015 — 2016

The series of artificially created landscapes explores atmospheres with the aim of challenging its fleeting nature by evoking a counter perspective to the known — a «trompe-l’oeil» in and as a contrast to common viewing habits and the visual fatigue. Challenging Man Ray’s statement, “I paint what I can not photograph” (cited in Sontag 1977), I endeavour to investigate photography in the way what is hard to expose and difficult to perceive.
